During the BlackFriday holiday last year, I was new to the Upromise.com portal and made numerous online purchases (#1, #2, #3) via Upromise.com. On the bright side, sometimes Upromise offers higher cash rebate than Topcashback.com or Chase Ultimate Reward Mall. On the not-so-bright side, it took 8-12 weeks for the cash rebate to settle into account-payable status such that it can be withdrawn, versus 5-7 business days needed by Chase Ultimate Reward Mall.
What is Upromise MasterCard good for beside cash rebate?
- No annual fee
- A good credit card for those who are not interested in travel reward cards
- A good credit card to build credit with Barclay bank which also offers Hawaii credit card with 35,000 Hawaii bonus miles.
This week, I received an email offer of $100 cash rebate after 1st purchase. No minimum spending is required. Here is the application link. I do not see anywhere in the email says the offer is not transferrable, so other people should be eligible. I highlighted the important terms in red.

There has been a promotion link since November 2013 for $75 cash rebate after 1st purchase. When $100 cash rebate promotion link becomes not available, this $75 cash rebate promotion may still be good. I have a plan to keep one Barclay card for long-term. Barclay Arrival card may not be for long-term, because there is a $89 annual fee.
