Macy's Promo Code CyberMonday 25% off FRIEND vs the regular Macys discounts

Macy's has ramped up its E-commerce business successfully, in my opinion.  In contrast to last year, most of my online orders during Black Friday and CyberMonday this year were placed on Macys.com, instead of Amazon.com, likely due to different type of needs.

Isa and I are interested to try out those J.A. Henckels or Wusthof kitchen chef knives that are made in Germany (not elsewhere).  The price is expensive to us in both Amazon.com and Macys.com.  Typical Macy's.com discount code exclude J.A. Henckels items and other top-branded items.

With Upromise.com offering 10% cash rebate and Chase Freedom card offering 5% for shopping in Macy's, we decided to purchase one chef knife from Macys.com

Total savings:  25% ($35) + 10% ($11) + 5% ($6) = 40% + free-shipping because over $99

*Upromise.com reports cash rebate very late. I would prefer Topcashback.com over Upromise if given same cash rebate percent.

Why would we not order the J.A. Henckels knife box set?  There are debates in forum about whether J.A. Henckels or Wusthof is better.  (Japanese' Global-Pro and Shun are more superior)  Neither Isa or I are pro Chef.  We like to try out the chef knife first, then, may feel comfortable to purchase more during CyberMonday week next year.  There is no urgent need of the entire knife box set.

I told Isa that I used to play computer games to earn millions of dollars of virtual money in Sim City game.  Now, I prefer to re-channel that game-playing energy into household savings, for us and for our friends.  That is more meaningful.
