What is unique about this deal?

For each approved SPG card applicant whom you referred, you would earn 5000 SPG points.  The approved applicant will earn 30,000 Bonus Starpoints after spending $5000 within first 6 months of card membership.

¹ You can receive 5,000 Starpoints "Referral Bonus" for each new Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card application you refer resulting in an approved account, up to a maximum of 55,000 Starpoints per calendar year. To receive the Referral Bonus, (a) you must submit referral(s) by 6/30/14 and (b) the referred individual(s) must apply to the specific offer online through the emailed link provided by American Express and be approved by 6/30/14.

What is the criteria to refer?

You must be an existing SPG card holder (personal and/or business).  Visit this link. Enter your American Express log-in information or SPG credit card numbers.


Are there new restrictions compared to last time?
Unfortunately yes, Isa can not refer me, because I have had SPG personal card in the past.  American Express, like Chase, offers bonus points on a one-time basis, for the credit cards which they offer.
