Chase Freedom $200 credit after first $500 spending, 5% rebate on Amazon gift card discounts Panera Bread, Whole Foods, Southwest Airlines and more

If you never have Chase Freedom card, and have not applied any credit card in the last 6 months, the Chase Freedom promotion is worth to be considered.

Limited-time offer from Chase

  • $200 statement credit after first $500 spending in 3 months. The cash back was used to be $100.
  • Free 30-days trial of Amazon Prime membership
  • 5% cash back on up to $1500 in purchases in Amazon, Macys, Sears, Kohls from 10/1 - 12/31/2013

The $500 spending requirement can be easily fulfilled by purchasing gift card in Amazon.com.  Amazon offers many (tax-free) Amazon gift cards and non-Amazon gift cards, of which many come with free shipping.  The following five are some of the offerings which I consider relevant to most people.

An example:  Use Chase Freedom card to purchase $500 gift card in Amazon.com

Cash rebate: $500 x 5% + $200 = $225 which is $225/$500 = 45% cash back

This Freedom card alone will not come with free round-trip flight between US and Europe or Asia, but the $225 or 22500 Chase Ultimate Reward points can be transferred another 6 months later to United Airlines program after you apply for Chase Sapphire Preferred card 6 months later.  Chase Freedom card also has no annual fee and is a great start to experience Chase credit card offerings.   If you apply the card within the next few days and be approved, the card will arrive by 10 days via mail. Still have time to order the gift cards via Amazon.com.

Are you ready to pay only $275 for your $500 expenses, save on your Christmas 2013?  It should take only 45 minutes to apply Chase Freedom card and purchase Amazon gift cards to achieve $225 savings.

Have a good weekend.
