Canon Pixma MX700 Office All-on-One Printer, and eSpring Water Purifier

I have been saving money during the past few months. More glad to put my dollars into work now.

A friend with excellent reputation among people strongly recommended a high-tech water filter from his new business, I took the advice and installed a eSpring Water Purifier. The product is not cheap, about $600, but looks small and great. The "gadget" even comes with a Water Treatment Device Certificate Number from the Department of Health Services of California, and a breakdown of organic contaminants that the purifier filters. It may take another year to witness the difference in health improvement.

More exciting is the purchase of Canon Pixma MX700 Office All-On-One Inkjet Printer. After browsing through hundreds of users' feedbacks in Amazon about several Canon and HP models for All-On-One Inkjet printer with networking, possibly wireless, capability, Canon MX700 and MP970 were the final two. Thanks to those feedbacks on Amazon, it is quite clear the customer support experience from HP is unpleasant. Since the fax functionality is important, MX700 is the choice. Otherwise, MP970 is better. Both are around US $150 before tax (comes with free standard shipping). Somehow I got some free time yesterday, swing by Frys Electronics to get a look & feel. Frys just cuts additional $20 off. With $40 rebates from Frys, the price with tax comes to $144, or one can spend twice as much, about $290 to purchase the latest model MX850 which is among the peers the best working model.
