Chase Sapphire Preferred 40k Bonus, still $3000 Spend, Apply by 11/30/2014

Disclosure: we receive $50 for each approved applicant, up to maximum $500 for all applicants referred.

Chase officially increased the minimum spending requirement to receive 40,000 bonus UR points for Chase Sapphire Preferred card to $4000 from $3000 on its website on 11/17/2014.

My referral link still posts $3000 instead of $4000 as the minimum spending requirement, if you apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card (abbreviated as CSP) by 11/30/2014.

I assume you already have heard of why the CSP, so I would not go into why this card is an attractive credit card.   If you have not, please take a look at the Chase Sapphire Preferred card section of Best Reward Cards.   In my opinion, CSP is a must-try, but not necessarily a must-keep credit card, because of the $95 annual fee.

What is a must-try and must-keep Chase credit card is the Chase Freedom card, currently with the limited-time offer of bonus $200 or 20,000 Ultimate Reward points, after first $500 spend in the first 3 months.

I recently applied Chase IHG MasterCard, so I have to wait 6 months, before being able to be approved for another Chase credit card.
